Scholar • Investigative Journalist • International Relations Expert • Public policy, Ethics, Governance & Social Impact Expert

Dr. Marius Selay Kouassi, Ph.D., M.Phil., M.A., is a distinguished interdisciplinary thinker and practitioner whose career defies conventional boundaries. With a solid foundation in American civilisation and literature, international relations, journalism, and cultural analysis, Dr. Kouassi combines rigorous academic scholarship with fearless investigative reporting and world-class mastery of traditional Chinese martial arts and wellness disciplines.

As an American civilisation scholar and political analyst, he has examined how global powers use media, diplomacy, and digital engagement to shape public opinion — earning an Executive MBA with distinction in Diplomacy, Protocol, and International Relations. His research has explored the strategies of major global actors in cyberspace, blending netnographic fieldwork with sophisticated geopolitical analysis.

Parallel to his academic pursuits, Dr. Kouassi has carved out a remarkable reputation as a journalist and investigative reporter. His work spans print, radio, and multimedia — from Abidjan-based outlets to international institutions. He has contributed to major global news organizations and his investigations into governance, human rights, and social justice have earned international visibility and respect.

Dr. Kouassi’s intercultural fluency — grounded in deep study of civilisation, language, and media ethics — amplifies his voice as a convener of ideas across borders. He’s also listed as an expert and thought leader in academic and professional networks, connecting African scholarship with global audiences.

What sets Dr. Kouassi apart is his unique synthesis of mind and body disciplines. A certified international Wushu competitor, Taolu referee, and Qigong practitioner, he has earned multiple international medals and titles at world championships in Japan and China, competing in Shaolin martial forms and Qigong — achievements rarely seen among scholars and analysts.

Beyond competition, he founded Uni-Wushu and the Côte d’Ivoire Health Qigong Association, promoting martial arts, Taiji, and Qigong as tools for health, resilience, and cultural exchange within universities and communities across Africa and beyond.

He's a fluent speaker of French, German, Dutch, English and Mandarin.
